 Since
opening in 2002, Ahwatukee YMCA membership has nearly tripled to more than 12,000
members, and we expect 16,000 members by 2010. This dramatic growth has put
the existing facility at capacity.
To ensure the YMCA continues to evolve to meet the needs of our
growing community, we have proposed:

Doubling the size of the Fitness Center to accommodate the growing
membership.
» Expanding the Youth and Teen Center to meet the needs of older
YMCA children.
»
Doubling the size of the successful "Y-Kidz" after-school
program.
» Relocating the YMCA Montessori Preschool to a new onsite facility.
